Meet Nick; he’s one of the Placement Directors in our NYQUEST Camp Canada team.
Nick started his Canadian adventure back in 2012 at a summer camp in Perth, Ontario and then continued working there for the following four summers (it’s safe to say he loves summer camp!). He officially joined our NYQUEST Camp Canada team in 2016…and the rest is history!

Before moving to Canada, Nick completed a Bachelors in Primary Education in the UK and was a Grade 5 teacher. He’s currently doing a Masters of Religious Education at the University of Toronto.
Ever wondered what Nick gets up to on a daily basis? Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at what he gets up to in the office and outside the office.
1) What does your day to day look like?
My main role is finding amazing summer camp placements for our NYQUEST Camp Canada participants.
This involves connecting with Camp Directors to find out what summer camp positions are available and finding the right staff to fill them.
2) What is your big focus at the moment?
We are very busy at the moment with lots of great participants in the program, which is really exciting.
My big focus is learning as much as I can about their skills and experience so that we can find the perfect spot for them.
3) Describe working at NYQUEST Camp Canada in three words.
Challenging, Exciting, Dynamic.
4) What’s your most memorable NYQUEST Camp Canada moment?
Can my moment be a whole month? I absolutely loved visiting our participants at all of the different camps, last summer.
It was incredible to see them thriving in their positions whilst having such a great time.
5) What is your favourite hobby?
Going for long walks with my husky, Ghost.
6) What do you get up to in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my family, watching Toronto sports, cycling, playing golf, and camping.
7) Tell us something people might not know about you.
On my 5th Birthday, I was given a Superman outfit and I broke my arm believing I could fly.
